APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION IN THE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME IN CORRECTIONAL SCIENCE (NTA LEVEL 5), ACADEMIC YEAR, 2017/2018.

The Commandant of Tanzania Correctional Training Academy wishes to invite application to pursue Technician Certificate Programme in Correction Science (NTA Level 5) for Academic year 2017/2018. The programme will be conducted in one Academic year of 34 weeks. Eligible applicants should possess the following qualifications:

1.    An employee of Prison Service of the rank of Warder/wardress to Staff Sergeant.
2.  A person of good character whom for the past three years has not been convicted of any disciplinary offence.
3.    Who have served in the Prisons Service for not less than three (3) years.
4.    Approved by Government chemist to be physically fit to undergo studies.
5.  A holder of form six certificates (ACSEE) with a minimum of one principal Pass and Two subsidiary Passes; OR
6.    A holder of form four certificates (CSEE) should have at least (5) pass of “D” in non religious subjects with possession of any Basic Technician Certificate (NTA level 4) or a certificate in any field related to prisons/correction works from any recognized college.
